Caring for facial hair

Caring For Facial Hair

Facial hair could be a plus for us.

When you see females with long eyelashes, full eyebrows, and males with cute teddies goatees and moustache, full brows as well as well trimmed beard, you can simply marvel at the beauty this could add to our look.

This so called beauty can become an eye saw, if these hairs on the face are not properly groomed or taken care of at the least that is why it is important for us to groom and properly care for our facial hairs.

The hairs on our face whether on the eye, cheek side, upper lip, chin, jaw, head and even nose, needs attention and proper care in order for them to contribute to your look/personal package. It is important to take proper care of our facial hair and also groom them according to the look we want to achieve albeit neatly. So even if you want to wear your beards full or eyebrows full, proper grooming should be done.

For the eyebrow: we could groom them using several methods such as waxing, threading, tweezing and blade trimming.

Inasmuch as the first three have a more lasting effect where the hair doesn’t grow back as quick as when the hair is blade trimmed using the blade method is the easiest and quickest way to control eyebrow hair and keep it in shape.

If the razor blade is not convenient for use, there are also special blades with handles created for eyebrows that can be used for this purpose. The shape of your face and your brow arch should be put in to consideration when trimming your eyebrows.

For the Beards: for several reasons men decide to keep beards or shave clean. Both can look unkempt if not properly done leaving the face looking scruffy and irritated. The face being very sensitive often reacts to friction from clipper blades, shaving sticks and hair removal chemicals. This makes it very prone to infections such as bumps and ingrown hairs which can be a lot more disturbing than it looks.  In order to ensure that the facial hair is clean and infection free, we might start considering having some of these products at our disposal because they come in handy and keep us sanitary when we groom our facial hairs. We do not want to get rid of the hair and adopt an infection in its place:

  1. Soap
  2. Water
  3. Towel
  4. Spirit
  5. Cotton wool
  6. Hand sanitizer
  7. Mild anti bacterial/ anti fungal cream
  8. Hair removal tool: blade, tweezers, clippers

In caring for the hair, we should try and adopt a routine e.g. daily, weekly or fortnightly so as to ensure that they do not over grow. This also reduces our chance of mis-shaping them , enjoy your day!
